Grammar Team Teaching

Today's Snack: What's the Breakfast of Champions? What's the high-energy food for every team? Wheaties, of course! Have a big bowl of Wheaties with milk and just a little sugar, and have a familiar team drink - Gatorade!

Supplies:

Either project this link on a big screen . . . or

click on the link, print out the material, and distribute to students

Have a blackboard or whiteboard available for demonstrations,

and scratch paper and pencils if teams want students to practice -

because every teammate knows that practice makes perfect!

       Go, Team! Go, Fight, Win!

Kids love to do things in teams. Let's transfer that energy into working as small groups to teach other about grammar.

Larger groups of students can form teams, perhaps pairing older kids with younger ones so that all age levels are balanced.

Then split up the following common grammar teaching points among the teams. Give at least one to each team.

Each team can brainstorm how to teach them to other students, and then take turns on the stage, as a team, teaching their particular grammar lesson:

After each presentation, the other teams can give that team points. But don't be surprised if it ends up a massive tie!
